Biography

Christopher Knievel received the Dipl.-Ing. and the Dr.-Ing. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Kiel, Germany, in 2009 and 2014, respectively.

From January 2014 to February 2021, he has been with Continental AG, Lindau a. Bodensee, Germany, where he was a team leader working in the area of advanced driver assistance systems. Since March 2021, he is a Professor for autonomous systems at the HTWG Konstanz - University of Applied Sciences.

Dr. Knievel received the Förderpreis der Technischen Fakultät der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel 2014 for his dissertation in 2014.

His main research interests include situation assessment, cooperative maneuver planning as well as machine learning applied for (mobile) autonomous systems.
